Gratitude for Growth

Gratitude for growth is the foundation to your marriage. The bible encourages believers to thank the Lord regardless of any life circumstances. If you’ve gotten out of the habit of being thankful, it’s time to get back into spiritual shape with your marriage. Make it a habit to daily spend more time with God. He wants us to be filled with joy and happiness, so seek His will and live your life daily regardless of any judgement, circumstances or problems. We all in marriages go through challenges that we need to embark on in this earth.

Talk to God personally. Use time to name areas in your life problems and in your marriage where you would like to have a little more gratitude and hope. Get as specific as possible. If there are any situations that are currently causing you concern, be sure to name those areas and pray over them. God’s blessings have a way of wiping your slate clean, if you give it to Him. Make them very specific and call them into the atmosphere so that He can hear them. Thank Him with a spirit of expectation, coupled with confidence that it will be done. Make a note when you witness Him answering your specific prayers. Gratitude is everything because in Philippians 4:6 it says Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your request be made known to God.

Let Us Pray!

Heavenly Father,

Bless us indeed, our home, our family, our marriage and bless our love for each other that we may have gratitude to endure the storms that come our way. Expand the borders of our territory and make our enemies our footstool. Expand our hearts so that we better reflect you. Show us ways in which we can be better wives, better husbands and concentrate on you only. Keep us from being the cause of anyone else’s pain or problems. Let us be a blessing in direct proportion to how you have blessed us, and let Your love shine through us causing us to bless others through our smiles, a kind word and as they witness the love which we have for each other in our marriage. In Jesus name, amen.
