Lawrence and Vanessa are Navy veterans and met in Okinawa Japan. They recently celebrated 25 years of marriage. Their partnership has resulted in the production of plays and acclaimed short films. They reside in San Marcos California and share four sons and five grandchildren. Sincere advocates for the homeless, together they established Fan of the Feather, a nonprofit which provided housing and services for homeless veterans, before it was dissolved in 2016. The couple also volunteers at their local church.
